Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan nsfas status Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the correct Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored here inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to study in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges click here should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
